This is a full-time 14-month fixed term position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $86,230 to $121,736 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated three waters engineer to join the Engineering Services Team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing the performance and condition and looking for optimisation opportunities of either our water and network systems or our regional drinking water and wastewater regional treatment plants. This work will directly improve the organisational understanding of these assets and how best to make sure they’re still serving our communities, businesses, and the environment.
With a focus on innovation and collaborative problem-solving, you will investigate issues, develop plans, and recommend interventions to enhance network performance and sustainability. Opportunity to grow your skill set as an engineer.
You will get to:
Conduct project investigation work - finding, defining and understanding problems and coming up with innovative solutions
Provide technical writing briefs, cost estimates and technical memos
Work collaboratively across the organisation
Provide technical support throughout the business
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
A BE in Engineering (preferably civil, chemical or environmental engineering)
Ability to solve complex engineering problems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-motivation and desire for personal continuous learning
