Communications and Engagement Advisor
You will provide strategic communications support and advice and deliver communications tactics and activities for a range of issues and work to support Tiaki Wai to meet its strategic objectives.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week plus an on-call roster.
The remuneration range for this role is $80,369 to $113,464 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity

You will be delivering effective communications, marketing, and social media campaigns and activities that raise awareness, educate, and drive public behaviour change. This includes effective brand management, delivering social marketing campaign activities and supporting the management of our digital and social media platforms.
Apply a strategic approach to creating and sustaining Tiaki Wai’s brand value and reputation
Develop and deliver communications and engagement advice for key projects
Develop and deliver social marketing campaigns that lead to positive behaviour change
Build and maintain strong working relationships both internal and external
Support our skilled and technical experts, communications and leadership teams
Create engaging content for a range of initiatives across the organisation
Build your professional capabilities under the guidance of your team colleagues.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Experience or knowledge of effective brand management
Experience delivering multi-channel communications, social media and web content
A background of working in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
A curious mind, a willingness to roll up your sleeves and the flexibility to pivot
The ability to identify opportunities to enhance our reputation and social licence to operate.

Tiaki Wai is a council-owned organisation responsible for managing the delivery of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater services across Hutt Valley, Porirua, and Wellington.
