Senior Project Manager
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of complex or high-value capital projects within Tiaki Wai’s three-year rolling capital programme.

The remuneration range for this role is $108,644 to $165,316 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
Tiaki Wai is seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-value capital works projects.
In this senior role, you’ll work closely with the Team Leader Project Delivery to deliver a diverse programme of infrastructure projects across the region. You'll ensure that each project aligns with our delivery standards and meets key objectives around time, cost, quality, and safety.
Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple Capex-funded infrastructure projects
Ensure alignment with programme governance and reporting requirements
Identify and mitigate project risks, and proactively manage escalations
Lead contract scoping and negotiate value-driven agreements with suppliers
Foster a strong health and safety culture across all project stages
Support the professional development of junior project managers
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
5–10 years’ experience delivering complex infrastructure or engineering projects
Deep understanding of project management principles and delivery frameworks
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong commercial awareness and risk management capability
